Progress check at Age 2

When a child is aged between two and three, we must review their progress, and provide parents and/or carers with a short written summary of their child’s development in the prime areas. The progress check will be completed before the child’s 2 year assessment – please advise your child’s key worker when this is so they can complete the report for you.

This progress check must identify the child’s strengths and development, and any areas where the child’s progress is less than expected. If there are significant emerging concerns, or an identified special educational need or disability, practitioners should develop an individual educational plan to support the child’s future learning and development involving other professional i.e. speech and language, special needs co-ordinator etc.

"We feel comfortable and happy knowing how much Emmy loves nursery and all her teachers, they
have all worked so hard to encourage her development and learning and we cannot thank them all
enough"
